As part of a procurement project, the client developed a methodology for professional procurement controlling. The “procurement scorecard” thus created was supported by a newly developed IT tool.

The subsequent tasks assigned to h&z Business Academy covered the following:

  • Introducing participants to the basics and leading them to a shared understanding of what professional procurement controlling involves
  • Training in new processes and the new IT tool
  • Teaching support provided by a client-specific case study

In addition, the client also took h&z Business Academy up on its recommendation to standardise the wildly different negotiation skills of its procurement staff and to increase their level of professionalism by means of a supplementary training module.

These various training measures helped to ensure the members of the procurement team all now benefit from the same level of knowledge and expertise. The new procurement tool was introduced without a glitch and gained acceptance quickly.
